Ho Man-fai, graduate of the Department of Computing, was named the winner of Asia Pacific ICT Alliance Awards 2016 (Tertiary Student Project category), with his interactive e-learning application “KinectGarten” designed for young children.
While traditional paper-based homework can hardly raise young children’s interest in learning, “KinectGarten” motivates children to learn via digital games requiring body movements. It also enables teachers to customise and adjust homework contents to cater for students’ different learning needs.
