Committed seriously to the environment and community, PolyU’s Campus Sustainability Office has recently organized a wide array of meaningful green activities to instill sustainable elements in staff’s and students’ daily lives. The ever-first “VeggieLicious” event was held last November with fun-filled games and demonstrations for PolyU members to discover new ways to live green. An Urban farming @Y6 programme was organized for three months until this January, allowing participants to make themselves city farmers and grow their own organic vegetables, herbs and fruits at a farming site located on the roof-top of a campus building. A workshop on coaster-making held last December offered a chance for participants to enjoy a green Christmas by creating upcyling coasters from old clothes.
