On 4-6 December, PolyU's latest technological achievements and research output were showcased at the Hong Kong Tech Showcase@IDT Expo which attracted thousands of visitors from Hong Kong and overseas. On display were the camera pointing system, advanced railway monitoring system, mega-structure diagnostic and prognostic system, anti-cancer drug, anti-erasing ink for anti-counterfeit of consumer products and i.Dummy mannequin. The exhibition well exemplified the University's successful endeavours in innovative research and knowledge transfer.
Among the featured exhibits, i.Dummy – a sophisticated mannequin that can easily change its body shape and size, has recently brought Dr Allan Chan at PolyU's Institute of Textiles and Clothing dual awards at the Design for Asia Awards 2014, including a Grand Award and a Silver Award in the Product and Industrial Design Category.
