Co-organized by the Faculty of Business and Information Systems and the Department of Accountancy of The Hong Kong Polytechnic University, this lecture consists of two speeches to be delivered by Mr David T. R. Carse, Deputy Chief Executive of the Hong Kong Monetary Authority, and Professor Edward J. Kane, James F. Cleary Professor in Finance at Boston College. Titles of their speeches are:

The lecture will be held in the evening of 11 July 2002 at the Chiang Chen Studio Theatre of The Hong Kong Polytechnic University. Reception will start at 5:15pm, and the lecture will be conducted from 6pm to 8pm. Participants include practitioners of the local accounting, banking and finance sectors, academics and students of local universities, and alumni of The Hong Kong Polytechnic University.
