Fostering reading ambience on campus

With generous sponsorship from Shun Hing Education and Charity Fund, this year’s READ@PolyU Programme, a campus-wide common book reading programme for undergraduate freshmen, featured a series of book talks, discussion sessions, film shows and an essay contest, with an aim to foster a reading culture and enhance community building among students and faculty members.

This year’s programme came to a successful close with the prize presentation to the 10 winners of the essay contest among 81 record-breaking submissions. At the ceremony, PolyU President Prof. Timothy W. Tong and Vice Chairman of Shun Hing Group and Chairman of Shun Hing Education and Charity Fund Mr David Mong commended students for their thought-provoking essays.
