Recently, PolyU’s School of Design joined game designers worldwide by hosting the Hong Kong leg of the annual two-day Global Game Jam for the first time. More than 11,000 game designers from over 300 regions were connected to design games within a 48-hour period.

The event challenges designers and students in the game design field to create digital games on a given theme which is kept secret until the event commences. Participants will have the opportunity to explore new technology tools, take up different roles in the development process and test their skills in designing, developing, and testing a new game.
