Led by Prof. Michael Siu, a project team at PolyU’s School of Design won the Grand Award with its “Green Bin” in the Product Design category of the Perspective Awards 2011.

The Green Bin, made of stainless steel, has a longer product life compared with existing plastic recycling bins. It offers flexibility for modification to meet regulations in different cities. It is a consultancy project worked in collaboration with Poon Kei Engineering Company.
