Biography

Dr Yang is currently a Research Assistant Professor with the Department of Computing at The Hong Kong Polytechnic University (PolyU). He received the B.Eng. degree in Computer Science from Xi’an University of Science and Technology in 2012, the M.Eng. degree in Pattern Recognition and Intelligence System from Shenzhen University in 2015, and the Ph.D. degree in Computer Science from PolyU in 2021. He was a visiting student of Prof. Xiaofang Zhou and A/Prof. Hongzhi Yin at The University of Queensland in 2019. Dr Yang’s research interests include graph representation learning, spatiotemporal data analysis, urban computing, and learning analytics. Dr Yang served as a reviewer for many international journals and conferences like IEEE Transactions on Knowledge and Data Engineering, IEEE Transactions on Systems, Man and Cybernetics Systems, AAAI, etc.
