Full accreditation of the programme by The Hong Kong Institution of Engineers (HKIE) will be sought. Graduates of this programme will then be qualified for Scheme A training of Structural Discipline and Fire Discipline of HKIE. Recognition has been granted to the programme by The Hong Kong Institution of Engineers (HKIE). Graduates satisfy the academic requirements of Associate Membership of the HKIE. Graduates of this Programme can fulfill the academic requirements for registration as Registered Safety Officer (RSO) with the Labour Department and as Environmental Officer (EO) for government contracts. In addition, they can obtain the membership of the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health of the
United Kingdom (IOSH).
Interview arrangement Band A and Band B applicants may be invited to attend an interview, when necessary.

Career Fields Our graduates are well-prepared for employment as graduate engineers in both the public and private sectors, such as the Buildings Department, Civil Engineering and Development Department, Drainage Services Department, Environmental Protection Department, Highways Department, Housing Department, Transport Department, Water Supplies Department of the HKSAR, engineering consultants and contractors Our graduates are ready for employment as environmental  and transportation engineers and sustainable development professionals in both the public and private sectors with good career prospect, such as civil servants, managers, analysts, and environmental consultants. Our graduates are well-prepared for employment as graduate engineers and receiving rewarding salaries in both public and private sectors. As technical officers and supervisors in both the public and private sectors, such as the Civil Engineering and Development Department, Drainage Services Department, Highways Department and Housing Department of the HKSAR Government and various civil engineering consultants and construction companies. Graduates can have a wide spectrum of career opportunities in public utility companies, construction companies, consultants and non-governmental organizations (NGOs).
