A group of 17 students and 2 teachers from Huazhong University of Science and Technology (HUST) visited Department of Applied Social Sciences (APSS) of PolyU on 25th August 2016 to see the development and education of social work in Hong Kong. The visit was mainly hosted by the Hong Kong Sheng Kung Hui.

Following by a welcoming speech in CF302 by Prof. Daniel Lai, Chair Professor and Head of APSS and Dr. Xue Bai, Assistant Professor of APSS, distinguished guests were invited to deliver talks.

After the talks, the group was leaded to visit Professional Practice and Assessment Centre, which is a centre providing specialized training to social workers, community-based practices and practice research. The students were surprised by the advanced development of social work services and education in Hong Kong.
