| Credit Transfer
If you are a holder of the Post-experience Diploma or Associateship
in Applied Statistics from PolyU, you will be given credit transfer
for the following subjects:
AMA150 Calculus
AMA151 Linear Algebra
AMA237 Inferential Statistics
AMA262 Statistical Data Analysis
AMA263 Applied Statistical Methods.
In addition, further credit transfer may be given for appropriate subjects
if you obtained a grade C+ or above (Grade C in old grading system)
in the elective subjects in Post-experience Diploma or Associateship. Examples
of such subjects:
AMA264 Survey Sampling
AMA465 Forecasting and Applied Time Series Analysis
AMA466 Multivariate Statistical Methods
AMA481 Econometrics
Application Procedures
- If you are eligible for credit transfer of other subjects, you should complete
an application form (AS41c) and submit it to the Departmental General Office
(Room HJ609) preferably before the start of a new semester and latest before
the end of the add/drop period for the semester concerned.
- The validity period of credits earned is eight years from the year in which the
subject was completed, unless otherwise specified by the subject offering
department. Credits earned should remain valid at the time when students apply
for transfer of credits.
- A credit transfer fee of HK$145 per credit (i.e. HK$435 per subject) will
be charged when the application is successful.
