Abstract Deadline: The Contributed Paper Session has an earlier deadline. It is 1 August 2000. The deadline of all the other sessions is 1 September 2000

Registration: The registration fee is $100 USD for non-HKMS member. The on-site registration fee is $120 USD. The registration fee for HKMS member is waived. To register, please complete the on-line registration form .

Exact Dates of Meeting: The meeting dates are revised to 13-16 December 2000.

Location of the Meeting: The meeting will be held at the Lam Woo Conference Centre of Hong Kong Baptist University.

Accommodations: We have negotiated a special rate with the Royal Plaza Hotel. The price per room per night is HK$550. It is about 5 minutes by train to the Kowloon Tong station, and another 5 minutes walk to the Lam Woo Conference Centre.

Social Activities: A local tour will be arranged on Friday afternoon, 15 December 2000. A banquet will be arranged on Friday evening after the local tour.

The fee for the boat tour is US20 (HK150) and half price for children.

In case the weather is not good, we will substitute this boat tour by a land tour. If there is any change, announcement will be made on 13 December.

Local Information for Visitors:

Local Travel:
Hong Kong has an excellent public transportation system consisting of trains, buses and taxis. Generally, frequency of service is every few minutes. The Lam Woo Conference Centre of the Hong Kong Baptist University is a short walk from the Kowloon Tong underground subway (MTR) and railway (KCR) interchange. Please refer to our interactive campus map (Click on Shaw Campus, the Conference Centre is labelled with green circle no.4)

International Travel & Visas:
Visitors to Hong Kong from some countries require visas. If you are in doubt, please contact the Chinese Consulate nearest you. Some participants may wish to visit the Chinese Mainland before or after the conference. All foreigners visiting the Chinese Mainland require a visa, which may be obtained from the Chinese Consulate. However, for short trips you may obtain a tourist visa in Hong Kong within a matter of few days.
