中国工业与应用数学学会第七届第十五次常务理事会议召开

5月15日,中国工业与应用数学学会第七届第十五次常务理事会议在长沙召开。学会常务理事、监事会监事、副
秘书长、部分专委会负责人及办公室工作人员等近60人出席,会议由学会秘书长闫桂英研究员主持。

学会理事长张平文院士首先讲话。他说,学会要始终服务于国家重大战略需求,要为科技创新发展做实事,紧密
联系企业,促进企业创新,服务产业发展。他强调,应用数学要扎根祖国大地,需要大家共同努力;学会要进一
步提升国际影响力、加强应用成果落地工作、加强高水平期刊建设、加强学会内部治理。

会上,全体与会人员集中进行了“从百年历史看党的初心和使命”主题教育学习,深化了对学党史、悟思想、办实
事、开新局的认识。

随后,学会秘书长闫桂英研究员对学会学术、财务、专委会管理、期刊、办公室管理等相关工作做了全面汇报;
学会副理事长高小山研究员就学会换届工作及有关方案做了详细的介绍;苏仰锋教授对学会应用数学落地成果的
评选认证工作进行了汇报。

会议确认通过了《CSIAM第八届理事会换届申请》、《CSIAM第八届理事会换届方案》、《CSIAM领导人选举办
法》、《CSIAM第七届理事会报告》、《CSIAM会员代表大会方案》、《CSIAM会员代表大会议程》、《CSIAM
专委会管理办法》(修订)、《CSIAM应用数学落地成果章程》(修订)等多项条例;通过了新一届理事、常务
理事候选人名单以及新一届候选理事长、副理事长、秘书长名单;会议决定正式成立编码密码及相关组合理论专委
会,确认了CSIAM应用数学落地成果认证数量、长沙办公室主任人选以及下一次常务理事会议召开的时间和地点。

最后,学会理事长张平文院士作总结讲话。他指出,学会将逐渐进入工作过渡期,要抓紧梳理工作分工,尽快制
定下一阶段工作方案。会员是学会发展的基础,学会要因势而变,跟上时代发展步伐,加强内部治理体系建设,
让会员充分发声,提高会员参与感。同时,要完善学会办公室建设,优化内部管理,创造愉快的工作环境,发挥
办公人员积极性。同时,他强调,学会要加强与各级地方政府的联系,担当好智库角色,在服务国家战略、促进
企业创新、推动地方经济社会发展等方面发挥重要作用。他呼吁大家积极投身到这项事业中来,迈出坚实的步伐。

5月14日,常务理事会召开前,学会常务理事代表与学会会员单位湖南第一师范学院的老师进行了“学党史·强体
魄·促友谊·开新局”为主题的联谊活动。学会代表参观了毛泽东与第一师范纪念馆相关展厅,并听取了“第一师
范与中国共产党”的专题讲解,大家感悟很深;之后,学会代表队与湖南第一师范学院进行了羽毛球、乒乓球联
谊赛,对于增进学会与会员单位之间的交流有重要意义。

“数值代数的机遇与挑战”论坛成功举办八期

自2021年1月至4月,南京应用数学中心和江苏师范大学数学研究院先后承办了第1-8期“数值代数的机遇与
挑战”线上论坛,共邀请了 28 位来自中国 (含港台)和欧美的学者做学术报告。报告内容涵盖了数值代数
的经典课题和源 自机器学习、数据科学等领域的前沿交叉课题。每场学术报告的在线参与人数保 持在 160 
人左右(最高达到 270 人),为数值代数界的学者提供了良好的合作交流平台。

长期以来,数值代数一直是计算数学的基础和核心组成部分之一,在科学计算中扮演着举足轻重的角色,起到
不可或缺的作用,其核心问题的数值解法得到了极其广泛的应用与使用。近年来,在解决其核心任务的同时,
数值代数正处于重塑自我的十字路口,急需适应数据科学和人工智能凸显和迅速发展的快速变化。 因此,林
文伟教授和李仁仓教授发起了“数值代数的机遇与挑战”线上论坛,其宗旨是固本开源、创新发展,促进数值代
数与最优化、数据科学等研究领域的深入交叉融合,为解决现代科学计算难题提供新的数值代数理论、方法与
算法。

该论坛是2020年12月在南京应用数学中心举办的学术会议“2020南京数值代数及应用研讨会”的延续。至今已
举办了八期,报告主题涉及九类经典的数值代数课题、偏微分方程数值解、最优化理论与方法、图像处理和多
学科交叉课题。受邀报告人中有22人来自中国(含台湾3人,香港1人),6人来自欧美。

本系列线上论坛得到东南大学、南京应用数学中心、江苏师范大学等单位的大力支持。第1-4期(南京应用数学
中心承办)的论坛组委会成员包括黄聪明、李仁仓、李铁香、林文伟等教授,第5-8 期(江苏师范大学数学研究
院承办)的 组委会成员包括贾仲孝、贾志刚、林文伟、Michael K. Ng、张振跃等教授。特别感谢江苏师范
大学数学研究院院长陈木法院士在第5期论坛开幕式上的热情洋溢的讲话。期待大家继续参与和支持后期举办的

【会议信息】第五届京津冀计算数学学术交流会会议通知(第一轮)

京津冀计算数学学术交流会是在原北京计算数学学会每年举办的“北京计算数学学术交流会”的基础上,由北京
计算数学学会、天津市数学会计算数学分会和河北省数学会计算数学分会共同发起、举办的计算数学专业学术
研讨会,每年召开一次。本次是第五届学术会议。该交流会的宗旨是响应中央京津冀协同发展的号召,为与会

【暑期学校】2021年度北京大学“应用数学专题讲习班”报名通知

北京大学应用数学专题讲习班是一项交叉学科学术精英的培养计划。其前身是自2002年夏季启动已成功举办十九期的
北京大学应用数学暑期学校。交叉学科研究是国际上科学研究的主流方向,这项计划正是基于交叉学科发展的要求展开
的。本次应用数学专题讲习班的课程设置涉及科学计算、机器学习、密码学和芯片设计等领域,通过邀请国际上该领域

EP/V026259/1 on the “Mathematics of Deep Learning” jointly run by the University of Cambridge, the 
University of Bath and University College London. The successful candidate will join a close knit 
team hosted by all three universities and led by Profs Carola-Bibiane Schönlieb and Richard Nickl (Cambridge), 
Prof Chris Budd OBE and Dr Matthias Ehrhardt (Bath) and Profs Simon Arridge and Bangti Jin (UCL). 
This is an exceptional opportunity to conduct ambitious research at the forefront of mathematics, 
statistics and machine learning.

Qualifications: Applicants must have (or about to receive) a PhD degree in mathematics or statistics 
(or a closely related discipline). The ideal candidates will be experienced in one or more of the
