2020年2月26日,科技部发布了《科技部办公厅关于支持首批国家应用数学中心建设的函》(国科办函基【2020】19号), 
  公布了首批13个国家应用数学中心名单。 
根据多所高校官方网站公布的消息,南京大学、四川大学、天津大学、复旦大学、山东大学、湘潭大学、 
  武汉大学、重庆师范大学、吉林大学、中山大学、西安交通大学、南方科技大学等高校作为依托单位获 
  准建设首批国家应用数学中心。 
据悉,国家应用数学中心的建设是为进一步贯彻落实国家《关于全面加强基础科学研究的若干意见》(国发〔2018〕4号) 
  和《关于加强数学科学研究工作方案》(国科办基〔2019〕61号)文件精神,由科技部批准设立的国家级科研平台。 
国家应用数学中心是国家科技创新体系的重要组成部分,旨在加强数学家与其它领域科学家及企业家的合作 
  与交流,聚焦、提出、凝练和解决一批国家重大科技任务、重大工程、区域及企业发展重大需求中的数学 
  问题,搭建数学科学与数学应用领域的交流平台,推进数学与工程应用、产业化的对接融通,提升数学支 
  撑创新发展的能力和水平。

为加强疫情防控,助力复工复产,做到科学防控、精准施策,西安数学与数学技术研究院李慧斌副教授 
  团队联合陕西省医疗健康大数据工程研究中心技术力量,迅速开展技术攻关,及时开发出“基于运营商大 
  数据的疫情复工防控管理系统”,为疫情管理部门及个人用户提供复工相关信息查询及科学预测。 
该系统主要基于运营商数据和疫情数据,主要包括个人群体复工指数查询服务、区域复工防控服务、复 
  工风险追溯三部分组成大功能。个人群体复工指数查询服务主要针对大众复工风险管控,可查询个人身 
  份信息、来源地,精准定位并直观展示出个人具体时间段历史行动轨迹,从而获取与感染者危险伴行行 
  为,预测个人综合感染及复工风险指数。区域复工防控服务功能主要针对区域复工风险管控,用户可以 
  在地图上直观地查看西安市每个区县的确诊人数及疑似感染人数的情况、区域来源地人流统计分布以及 
  区域复工风险指标。复工风险追溯主要针对已确诊感染者进行分析,提供其潜伏期可能传染给其他人群 
  的查询服务,感染原因追溯服务及疫情扩散仿真模拟服务。 
“基于运营商大数据的疫情复工防控管理系统”运用大数据技术对防疫复工整体情况进行监测,为应对复 
  工潮下的防控决策与指挥、精准管理与服务、疫情联防联控提供依据及支撑,以信息化技术助力防疫工 
  作和企业复工复产。

The  IFIP TC7 Conference on System Modelling and Optimization is organised by the  International 
  Federation  for Information Processing, Technical Committee 7. The 29th edition of the  biannual 
  conference  takes place in Quito, Ecuador, 2.8 kilometers above sea level on the campus of  the 
  Escuela  Politécnica Nacional. The event is going to take place from August 31st to  September 
  4th  2020. The highly-regarded conference series covers topics such as
Optimal Control of Ordinary and Partial Differential Equations,
Modeling  and Simulation,
  Inverse  Problems,
  Nonlinear,  Discrete, and Stochastic Optimization, and
  Computational  Optimization.

【招聘信息】Professor / Associate Professor / Assistant Professor, Hong Kong Baptist University
The  Department invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position at the  Professor/
Associate  Professor/Assistant Professor rank specializing in applied/computational  mathematics, 
statistics,  data science, or an area which complements the Department’s research profile.
Applicants  should possess a relevant PhD degree and a record of strong research. Teaching  experience 
  is  preferred. They are expected to be energetic and motivated, and actively  participate in current 
  research  and teaching programmes of the Department. Those with substantial teaching  experience 
  and  a good record of scholarly achievements will be considered for appointment at  the rank of 
  Associate  Professor/Professor.
Initial  appointment will be offered on a fixed-term contract up to three years.  Re-appointment 
  thereafter  will be subject to mutual agreement.
Those who have responded to the advertisement posted in November 2019 need not re-apply.
Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
