Prof. Kan Chi-wai is an accomplished scholar with a diverse background in the area of textile evaluation and safety and health management. As an expert in colouration and finishing, he has been interested in the research of surface treatment of textile materials, textile products evaluation, textile testing instrumentation, safety and health management, and environmental management. Prof. Kan holds multiple professional qualifications and fellowships, including Chartered Colourist, Chartered Textile Technologist, Chartered Chemist, and Chartered Safety and Health Practitioner. With an impressive publication record of over 180 SCI journal papers and 250 conference papers, he was listed among the top 2% most highly cited scientists by Stanford University in 2023.
