On 31 October 2025, a group of senior Building alumni from the Class of 1968 returned to their alma mater to celebrate the 60th anniversary of their studies at the Hong Kong Technical College, the predecessor of PolyU. Warmly welcomed by the Alumni Affairs Office, the alumni enjoyed a specially arranged guided tour that showcased the University’s latest developments alongside its cherished heritage.
The group visited the Alumni Atrium, which features versatile leisure and activity spaces ideal for hosting a wide range of events. They also explored the University Gallery, which highlights PolyU’s rich legacy and major achievements. Everyone was inspired by the remarkable growth and transformation of their alma mater. Another highlight of the day was a special viewing of the commemorative brick they donated in 2007 to mark the University’s 70th anniversary. The group fondly revisited treasured memories, relived their student experiences, and deepened their pride and sense of belonging to PolyU.
Following the campus tour, the alumni attended the BREDAA Homecoming Gala, held in conjunction with the Award Presentation Ceremony for the Outstanding Alumni Award of PolyU BRE. They enjoyed an evening that united graduates and staff in a joyful celebration of achievements and lasting connections.
