Green Campus - New Online Graduate Employment Survey Now Ready

To better understand the employment status of full-time graduates and the salary trends as compared with previous years, CAPS (Office of Careers and Placement Services) will invite graduates to complete a Graduate Employment Survey (GES) every year during the end of July to early January of the next year.

To promote green campus, the GES goes online this year. A new online Graduate Employment Survey (GES) has been developed. To implement the service within a short time frame, ITS has adopted the ‘mySurvey’ service to develop the survey form; and implemented survey invitation/distribution and authentication mechanisms to allow eligible graduates to fill in the survey conveniently on the web.

(Note: 'mySurvey' is an open-source online survey tool which provides a simple interface for users to design an online questionnaire quick and easy.)

Below is screen shot of the new online GES:

Based on the information collected, CAPS will prepare the survey report summarizing graduates’ employment sectors, job natures, salaries and job-hunt performance by faculties / departments, etc.

In addition, CAPS can also import survey results into the predefined intelligent tool to create analytical reports, charts and diagrams conveniently for reporting.
