Biography

Dr. Liwei Weng is an Assistant Professor of Accounting at School of Accounting and Finance, The Hong Kong Polytechnic University. He joined PolyU in 2020 upon the completion of his Ph.D. in Accounting at W. P. Carey School of Business, Arizona State University. He received his M.S. in Finance with distinction from The University of Texas at Dallas in 2013. 
 
Dr. Weng’s research interests include disclosure, institutional investors, financial analysts, machine learning, and insider trading. His teaching interests include data analytics in accounting, financial accounting, audit data analytics, managerial accounting, and artificial intelligence in accounting.
