Preferred Programmes for Preferred Graduates
PolyU Engineering offers a wide range of engineering programmes to help our graduates to achieve the greatest success. Most independent surveys of employers have ranked PolyU engineering graduates as being the most preferred for recruitment and having the highest practical value to employers. Our programmes are unique in:
- broad-based interdisciplinary programmes providing flexibility in study through offering scheme-type, major-minor, and double-degree programmes to meet students’ career aspirations;
- broad-based engineering programmes where students can have free choice to select one of the four programmes (in Electrical Engineering, Electronic & Information Engineering, Industrial & Systems Engineering, and Mechanical Engineering) at the end of first year at the latest for the final award;
- work-integrated education where students can undertake up to one year of work experience in local or overseas organisations relevant to their future profession to enhance the competitiveness after graduation;
- excellent training opportunities in the Industrial Centre, our state of the art laboratories to keep engineering students abreast of practical skills development;
- overseas student exchange opportunities to boost up students’ international horizons, experience a new culture and enhance language ability.
