PolyU Engineering is committed to providing taught postgraduate programmes in professional and applied fields. Our programmes equip graduates with the professional competence to become specialists / management leaders in the area, and develop strategic thinking and lifelong learning competencies. Mode of study
You can pursue postgraduate studies by coursework leading to the awards of Doctorate, Master’s, Postgraduate Diploma degrees. Taught postgraduate programmes are offered according to the modes of study that are specified in the individual programme entries, including the full-time mode, part-time mode, or mixed-mode. Under the mixed-mode scheme, you are allowed the option to engage in full-time or part-time study load, and to attend classes in the daytime, evening or a combination of both. Students may have their study mode vary from semester to semester, a greater autonomy to determine the pace of study.
Credit-based system
PolyU programmes operate under a credit-based system. This provides the flexibility to make them more responsive to the changing needs of the students, the professions and the society. Depending on the credit requirements of the programme, students can decide their own pace of study.
