The "ALUMNI ASSOCIATION OF APPLIED MATHEMATICS, POLYU", formerly called the "ALUMNI ASSOCIATION OF MATHEMATICS, STATISTICS AND COMPUTING, HKP", was established in 1979.

OBJECTS AND PURPOSES

(a) To organise academic activities relevant to the interest of the members of the Association.

(b) To promote the cultural interests and general welfare of the members of the Association.

(c) To issue bulletins, magazines, circulars and other materials relevant to the interest of the members of the Association.

(d) To act as a bridge between the graduates, students and staff of the Department of Applied Mathematics.

MEMBERSHIP
 
(a) Full Members :
All graduate from courses organised by the Department of Applied Mathematics or its precedents.

(b) Life Members :
A Full Member upon payment of five-fold of the bi-annual subscription

(c) Associate Members :
Any person whose profession is closely related to the field of applied mathematics is eligible for associate membership provided that the application is recommended by two Full Members and approved by the Executive Committee.

(d) Honorary Members :
All staff of the Hong Kong Polytechnic University concerned in the teaching of applied mathematics and those who have contributed to the Association may be invited by the Association to become Honorary Members. Honorary Members shall automatically be Life Member of the Association.

Life: HK$600.
