Title of project:
Effects of High Myopia on Ocular Biometric Parameters

Synopsis:
Significant refractive error development by experimentally induced high myopia has been discovered to lead dramatic changes on our eyes. These complex organs actively modify its shape to compensate refractive anomalies and underlie mechanism is yet fully understood. My major interest is to investigate how high myopia progression affect ocular growth, especially on outer coats, cornea and sclera. Since these two area experience not simply biomechanical but also cell structural changes, the outcome of current research is highly expected to understand the myopia mechanism.
