Optometry Scholarships for Undergraduates (2012/2013)

Note: Both local and non-local students are eligible to the following scholarships.

The Hong Kong Society of Professional Optometrists Prize for The Best Year 1 Student in BSc (Hons) in Optometry (HK$5,000)
To two best Year 1 student from BSc (Hons) in Optometry (one from HKALE cohort & one from HKDSE cohort).

Hong Kong Optical Manufacturers Association Scholarship for The Best Year 2 Student in BSc (Hons) in Optometry (HK$5,000)
To a Year 2 student from BSc (Hons) in Optometry who has the highest cumulative GPA of the academic year. 

Hong Kong Optical Manufacturers Association Scholarship for The Best Year 3 Student in BSc (Hons) in Optometry (HK$5,000)
To a Year 3 student from BSc (Hons) in Optometry who has the highest cumulative GPA of the academic year.

Alcon Excellence in Contact Lenses Scholarship (HK$5,000)
To a Year 3 student from BSc (Hons) in Optometry with the best results in the subject “Contact Lens Practice”. 

Greg Wu Best Business Plan Award for Practice Management (HK$5,000)
To a Year 4 student from BSc (Hons) in Optometry who has the best performance on the subject “Practice Management II” (SO459).

The Hong Kong Association of Private Practice Optometrists Best Community Project Award (HK$4,000)
To a group of students from BSc (Hons) in Optometry who has the best performance in the subject of “Community Optometry”.

The Hong Kong Association of Private Practice Optometrists Community Service Award (HK$3,000)
To a student from BSc (Hons) in Optometry who has the most outstanding community service, including services which may be outside the optometry discipline.
