Scholarships Administered by SAO

The following scholarships are open for application. Unless otherwise specified, the applicants must be pursuing full-time undergraduate programmes leading to PolyU awards (i.e. HKCC, SPEED, PolyU inbound exchange students are not eligible).

Please submit the application forms (except those online applications and those scholarships which form collection venue is not SAO) to the specified collection box in SAO (Room ST314).  Each applicant is expected to receive an email notifier acknowledging their applications from SAO within 10 working days from the deadline of application.

To full-time government-funded first-year degree local students from either BEng (Hons) in Mechanical Engineering (programme code: 43078) or BEng (Hons) in Industrial & Systems Engineering (programme code: 45085).

Hang Seng Bank Community Service Scholarship 2011/12

 To full-time local (Hong Kong permanent resident) degree students with

Travelling Scholarship 2011/12

1. Dr. Keith Legg Travelling Scholarship
 
  • 1 scholarship of HK$4,000 to a full-time local non-final-year student
  • preference will be given to those travelling to China
2. Dr. Y.K. Ching Travelling Scholarship
 
  • total amount available: around HK$8,000
    (No. and value of awards are to be decided by the selection panel based on the proposed budget and quality of the proposal)
  • to full-time local non-final-year student(s)
3. Stephen Kam Chuen Cheong Memorial Travelling Scholarship
 
  • total amount available: HK$30,000
    (No. and value of awards are to be decided by the selection panel based on the proposed budget and quality of the proposal)
  • to full-time local students
  • value of awards for the Scholarship ranged from HK$5,000 to HK$15,000 in 2010/11

  • when candidate(s) is/are judged to be of insufficient merit, no award/less than HK$30,000 shall be disbursed
