Student Tutor of Cantonese Class for Non-local students

BACKGROUND
To facilitate non-local students' adaptation, SAO arranges Cantonese Class for non-local students.

While professional trainer(s) will teach Cantonese to students, SAO would recruit Student Tutors to lead some tutorial groups (of about 10 students) for interactive practice and role plays to help non-local students learn Cantonese.  Train-the-trainers sessions on how to teach Cantonese will be provided to student tutors beforehand for free.

OBJECTIVE

• To help non-local students to learn Cantonese
• To promote interaction between local and non-local students
• To provide development opportunities for student tutors

BENEFITS OF BEING STUDENT TUTOR

• To know more friends from other countries / cities
• To polish language skills such as English and Putonghua
• To polish soft-skills e.g. communication skills, presentation skills

ELIGIBILITY

• Mature, self-motivated and reliable
• Interested in interacting with non-local students  
• Strong sense of commitment
• Excellent command of both Cantonese & English OR Excellent command of both Cantonese & Putonghua
