Host Family Scheme
Our Office organizes the Host Family Scheme for
Non-local and Inbound Exchange Students.
Non-local and exchange students who participate in the Scheme will be introduced to a PolyU staff /alumni. Students will be invited by host families to join their family activities occasionally to experience how family life is in Hong Kong. They can also share the customs, ideas and values with the host families. However the students will not be accommodating with the host families.
Objectives
- To facilitate the adaptation of non-local students to PolyU and HK
- To help non-local students know more about the local culture such as festivals, lifestyle etc
- To facilitate staff and alumni and also their family members to know non-local students from different cultures
