Personal Development Programmes (PDP) 個人發展計劃

Personal Development Programmes

PDP are conducted by professional counsellors of STARS, addressing various developmental needs of university students.  The main objectives are to facilitate students' personal fulfillment in the university years and also develop further their pathway towards success in future. Training content may include: creative & critical thinking, learning strategies, time management, love & dating, teamwork, EQ & AQ, stress management and personality testing.

PDP is offered in the form of open group or tailor-made programme. For open groups, PDP is offered through the Complementary Development Programme (CDP), you may find more information in CDP website ( – under the category of `Personal Development and Health’.

Tailor-made programmes will be organized throughout the academic year for students on faculty basis.  These programmes can be initiated by students, or faculty staffs.  STARS counsellors are working collaboratively with the teaching staff of academic departments to explore students’ learning and developmental needs, and develop programmes in meeting the needs.

Students are also welcome to initiate tailor-made PDP.  If you can find a group of 10 students who share a common topic within the framework for personal growth and all-round development, you can approach your Faculty Liaison Counsellor to discuss your programme needs and make progress at your own pace.
