1. To support the RC / FRCs / DRCs in fulfilling their duties
2. To support academic staff in undertaking research and scholarly activities
3. To support RPg students in pursuing their studies
4. To support the AoEC in fulfilling their duties
The RO is responsible for the administration and support of internally funded research projects and of all other projects where the grant provider expects the University to monitor the research progress of the grant recipients. Its functions include research facilitation, quality assurance and project maintenance. It is the Secretariat of the University's Research Committee and Areas of Excellence Committee. The office also takes care of the admission, registration, examination and quality assurance matters of research postgraduate students.
