Switches and Accessories
Optimized for different residual abilities of the handicapped, these switches serve as the basic interface between the user and other more complex assistive devices.

REC has designed a wide range of switches for general use. Special switches are made to measure either to suit a particular residual ability or for a particular application.

Ability switch interface unit

The ability switch interface unit is designed to allow keyboard operation on Windows computer via ability switches. The system allows a maximum of six ability switches inputs. A total of 64 key codes can be selected by setting the DIP switch associated with each connection. The user can select the required key code to control the return key and any other keyboard keys, or with all six switches to control the function of the mouse. The system also allows simultaneously operation of ability switches and the keyboard.

The system comes with a joggle switch, which is a variable pressure switch. The switch is circular with diameter of 5 inches. The required activation force is between 6.5oz/200g to 52oz/1500g.

Universal Mount

Magic touch interface

  This adapter is designed to increase the current rating for the Magic touch switch to operate electrical products that require current rating higher than 50 mA, and up to 0.5 Amp.
