Dr Chow Yei Ching is the Chairman of Chevalier Group, a diversified global conglomerate engaged in construction and engineering, property and hotel, insurance and investment, information technology, and lifestyle food and beverage businesses. Chevalier Group holds two publicly listed companies in Hong Kong - Chevalier International Holdings Ltd and Chevalier Pacific Holdings Ltd, with over 200 subsidiaries and more than 5,000 employees worldwide.

Dr Chow is actively involved in charitable events and public services. He has supported the development of various universities in Hong Kong and the Mainland by sponsoring a broad range of programmes to enrich educational opportunities and cultivate new talent. In addition, Dr Chow has established the Chow Yei Ching Foundation and the Chevalier Culture & Education Foundation, which foster cultural, academic, artistic, and educational exchanges between the Mainland, Taiwan, Hong Kong and Macau through a wide variety of social, cultural, and artistic events, seminars, and charitable activities.

In 2001, Dr Chow was appointed as Honorary Consul of the Kingdom of Bahrain in Hong Kong and his other significant contributions include participation in various professional bodies and associations on fraternal and Chinese affairs. To name a few, he is the President of St John’s University Alumni Association and the Counsellor of China-United States Exchange Foundation, and he is also the Founding President of International Ningbo Merchants Association.
