Developing a Programme Learning Outcomes Assessment Plan: Why and How

Abstract:

The Learning and Teaching Committee (LTC) has recommended that all Faculties/Schools/Departments develop and implement a programme learning outcomes assessment plan, for the dual purposes of enhancing programme effectiveness and for preparing the University for the UGC quality audit of PolyU in 2010.

This workshop will explain the purposes of and describe the steps in developing a programme learning outcomes assessment plan. It will also explore useful techniques that can be used to collect direct and indirect evidence for evaluating whether a programme has achieved its intended learning outcomes.
