Abstract:
As a teacher, are you challenged in trying to make the 'outcomes-based' approach to education a reality in your classrooom? Would you like to learn more and discuss techniques on how to apply an 'outcomes-based' approach to planning your classes?
In these two sessions you will learn and apply an approach that:
- Provides a framework for maping out your course;
- Represents a task-based approach to learning;
- Incorporates a strong emphasis on feedback to all tasks;
- Maintains the textbook, lectures, course notes and online resources as important resources in support of learning tasks;
In the sessions you will: Identify different ways to use time and space (class time vs. study time); Review exemplars and try out templates for learning tasks and course mapping
