Abstract:

PolyU has built in mechanisms in the Generic Quality Assurance System to ensure that the issue of alignment of assessment strategies with intended learning outcomes is attended to. These include the new Subject Description Form for the new 4-year undergraduate programmes, the Programme Learning Outcomes Assessment Plan (P-LOAP) and the Learning Outcomes Assessment Result Form in the Annual Programme Review Report. These items are to ensure that the quality of programmes and student work is enhanced through the proper implementation of criterion-referenced assessment.

This workshop will introduce simple and user-friendly ways to introduce criterion-referenced assessment. All program leaders and faculty members who are responsible for assessment and/or the quality assurance of learning and teaching within a program are encouraged to attend to share good practices.
