Abstract:
PolyU has committed, in its Strategic Plan, to the provision of a holistic education that is outcome-based.  This 3-session series aims to introduce to new teachers the fundamental concept of Outcome-Based Education (OBE) and explains to them how OBE is implemented at PolyU.

This session provides an overview of the model of OBE adopted at PolyU. It presents in a nutshell the fundamental concepts and key elements of outcome-based education in a 4-stage model.

The session also addresses the meaning of 'learning outcomes' and the writing of outcome statements. Learning outcomes expected of PolyU students will be discussed.
