Abstract:
"The blended, adjunct, or hybrid teaching model is a mixture of classroom and eLearning that has an abundance of academics proclaiming its benefits."
BUT how does a Blended Learning Approach mesh with an Outcome-Based Approach? This workshop seeks to address this core issue for PolyU staff within a practical approach towards the following key questions:
- Are you interested in Blended Learning but don't know where to start?
- Are you unsure of how Blended Learning 'fits' with an 'Outcome-Based' Approach?
- As a teacher, are you challenged in trying to make the 'Outcome-Based' Approach to
education a reality in your classroom?
- Would you like to learn more and discuss techniques on how to apply an 'Outcome-Based' Approach to planning your classes?
In this session you will learn and apply an approach that:
- Provides you with an opportunity to explore the process for incorporating Blended Learning
within an Outcome-Based Approach.
- Explores a framework for mapping out your course incorporating blended learning.
- Represents a task-based approach to learning.
- Identifies different ways to use time and space (class time vs. outside of class time).
- Develops a practical example you can use to include blended learning within your context.
