Abstract:

Assessment can be used to support judgments about the quality of educational programs or institutions; to describe the achievements of individuals and to support learning. Criterion-referenced assessment (CRA) is an approach to assessing student's according to a prescribed set of criteria and standards. It provides the basis for the Institution, Faculty members and Departments to fulfill each of the functions of assessment for the purpose of evaluative accountability and learning enhancement. All program leaders and faculty members who are responsible for assessment and / or the quality assurance of learning and teaching within a program could benefit from this workshop.
