BBA (Hons) in Marketing Programme
• The curriculum allows flexibility. You can take the Major-Minor combination
with a Minor chosen from a range of business and non-business subjects.
• Depending on the available places, you can also opt for a Double Major
in Marketing and Design (Advertising).
• There is a wide range of elective subjects.
• There are visits to Mainland China and overseas companies and students
may make presentations at an annual marketing symposium after such visits
(optional).
• Student-centred interactive learning is encouraged.
• For direct work experience before graduation, each student is required
to complete 300 hours (3 training credits) of Work-integrated Education
(WIE).
• Students are encouraged to participate in the Whole Person Development
Programme (WPDP) which includes a range of extra-curricular activities
such as leadership training camps, peer tutoring, mentorship, overseas
and Mainland China student exchanges.
Department of Management & Marketing
• With more than 60 full-time academic staff, the Department of Management
and Marketing (MM) is one of the largest departments in the University.
Staff are actively engaged in research and consultancy, in Hong Kong,
the Chinese Mainland and internationally.
• The Department's teaching philosophy reflects a commitment to excellence
and to innovation in learning and teaching. The Department employs a
range of experiential, problem-based, and case-based learning techniques.
The aim is to develop not only business and management knowledge, but
also interpersonal skills and teamwork

Tuition fee

Local applicants (Non-Jupas Admission)
Admission quota:
Around 20% of the yearly intake
Interview and English written test are required (conducted between April
to July)
Examples of successful admittees’ Exam. results in the past:
Case 1: Higher Diploma or Associate Degree programmes with GPA 3.5.
Case 2: Hong Kong Institute of Vocational Education (IVE) with Distinction.
Case 3: UK GCE “A” levels (with 3Bs excluding Chinese Language).
Advanced standing entry
Suitable candidates with Higher Diploma/Associate Degree will be considered
for advanced standing entry to the senior year curriculum.
Tuition fee
Tuition fee for Government-funded Programme is HK$42,100 per academic
year, payable in two equal instalments before the start of the first
and second semesters of the academic year.

International students Admission
We do not have quota for admission of international students. We provide
scholarship of HK$40,000 (US$5,125) to outstanding, well-qualified applicants.
English is the medium used for classes, written assignments and examinations.
Specified qualifications
International candidates are expected to have achieved an academic standard
equivalent to GCE A-level, or have satisfactorily completed the International
Baccalaureate Diploma, or the first year of university education. You
may refer to http://www.polyu.edu.hk/as/ep_ft/annex_c.htm
for the guidelines on non-local qualifications for admission to PolyU.
If you have not got any of the above qualifications but have other acceptable
qualifications, you may be considered for admission to our full-time
undergraduate programmes taking an additional foundation year, which
is a special bridging year designed to prepare these non-local students
to take up undergraduate studies at PolyU.
English language requirements
(1) A Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) score of 550
or above for the paper-based test;
OR
(2) A TOEFL score of 213 or above for the computer-based test; or a
TOEFL score of 79 or above for the internet-based test,
OR
(3) An overall Band Score of at least 6 in the International English
Language Testing System (IELTS).
For applicants who can provide evidence that they have reached an equivalent
English standard, or have studied in an English-medium international
high school or above for at least two years, the above English language
requirement can be waived.
Tuition fee
Tuition fee is HK$80,000 (US$10,250) per academic year, payable
in two equal instalments before the start of the first and second semesters
of the academic year.

Professional Recognition
BBA (Hons) in Marketing programme has been approved and accredited by the Chartered Institute of Marketing, UK to provide direct entry onto the CIM's Professional Diploma in Marketing or meets the qualification criterion for the Chartered Postgraduate Diploma in Marketing: work experience in marketing management is also required.
Graduates can also obtain exemption of relevant papers of the qualifying examinations of two global professional bodies, the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) and the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA).
