| The PolyU dial-up facility provides remote access
to the University's central IT facilities including the Academic
UNIX Cluster, GroupWise, Campus E-mail System, WebCT server, Internet and
University Portal etc. through telephone lines from off campus. With a valid
NetID, a user can utilize the dial-up facility for remote access using a
PC connected to a modem. Dial-up Number A total of 230 dial-up lines
have been installed on campus. To access the University's internal information
and for external Internet access, users can dial the following prime telephone
