Connecting to the Campus Network Using SPAN

1. Connect your notebook PC to the SPAN outlet with UTP cable.

2. Access the PolyU home page at http://www.polyu.edu.hk with any Internet Browser (e.g. Internet Explorer, Netscape, etc).

3. An authentication page will be displayed automatically as shown below.

4. Enter your NetID and NetPassword (same as your e-mail account) and then click the LOGIN button.

5. After successful login, a login agent window as below will be shown.  Keep this window open to maintain your connection to the PolyU Campus Network.  The window can be safely mininized.

6. To logout the SPAN network, click the LOGOUT button from the login agent Window.

   

7. You can close the message window as below after logout.
