Academic staff from the School of Tourism & Hospitality Management at the University of the South Pacific will be making presentations at the Tourism Conference ‘Advancing the Social Science of Tourism’ in Surrey, UK in June.

Research Award – Stephen Pratt

The University of the South Pacific rewarded twelve academic staff for their high quality research publications in 2010. One of the staff, Stephen Pratt, Senior Lecturer in the School of Tourism & Hospitality Management, published “Measuring the effectiveness of destination marketing campaigns: comparative analysis of conversion studies”, along with colleagues, McCabe, S., Cortes-Jimenez, I. and Blake, A., in the Journal of Travel Research, 49(2): 179-190.  The Journal of Travel Research is an A* journal in the ABDC Rank system. The inaugural presentation of awards was made by the Vice-Chancellor and President of USP, Professor Rajesh Chandra at a special morning tea on 8 June, 2011. More details can be found at:
