Hotel Security & Safety 2005
This essential conference has been planned and organized in response to a significant rise in regional disasters, crises and events that have impacted and harmed the hotel and tourism industry. Among these, the Bali bombing, SARS crisis and the South Asian tsunami had the most devastating effects on the hotel industry.

This unique conference brings together a number of industry experts to discuss how the industry can best prepare for and manage unforeseen crises and events such as natural disasters and situations such as terrorist activities. Issues of guest safety and security, as well as protection of property and facilities will be discussed. Minimizing risk and maximizing preparedness will be explored, and practical case studies and examples will be provided.

Who should attend this conference?
The conference will help attendees from the hospitality industry to raise their awareness and consciousness of security and safety issues. Risks are best dealt with before they loom large to become crises. Risks should be analyzed and addressed, so that travel and tourism will continue to bloom without setback. Security and safety issues do not belong to one hotel, one organization, or one country - they belong to the hospitality industry regionally and internationally. They are complex and interrelated issues, and we can learn from each other and together help make the world a better and safer place to travel. Management staff in hotels, airlines, theme parks, clubs, national tourism organizations, and government officials in travel and tourism will benefit from this conference dedicated to security and safety in the travel and tourism industry.
