Gary Grimmer is the CEO of Gary Grimmer & Company, an international convention industry management and consulting firm. Recent projects include his service on the London International Convention Centre Commission, management of a specialised MICE educators’ training program in Taiwan, management of ICCA training courses in Frankfurt, Germany and Pattaya, Thailand, continuing consultation on the development of a convention & visitors bureau in Serbia and international best practices consultation to the Edinburgh, Scotland CVB. He also serves as CEO of DOME, the global industry’s leading research foundation and is Chairman of ConventionWorks, a global convention industry consulting network with offices in Dubai , Hong Kong , London , Melbourne , Adelaide and Vancouver . Prior to starting his own company, Gary was CEO of the convention bureaux in Melbourne , Australia , and prior to that was CEO at bureaux in Portland , Oregon and Albuquerque , New Mexico and Vice President of the Boston , Massachusetts bureau. Gary is a former Chairman of the Board of the International Association of Convention & Visitors Bureaus (IACVB.)
