Rob
Davidson, Senior Lecturer in Business Travel and Tourism at the University of
Westminster, is one of the UK's leading academics and researchers in the field
of conference and business travel. Following five years with the British Tourist
Authority, he left the UK in 1989 and worked in two French universities, before
returning to London in 1998, to take up his post at Westminster. There, he is
currently the Course Leader of the Masters course in Conference Management.
He has written extensively on business travel and tourism, and his latest book, ‘Business Travel: Conferences, Incentive Travel, Exhibitions, Corporate Hospitality and Corporate Travel’, was published earlier this year. In addition to his academic role, he also carries out regular studies for the conference industry, including the researching and writing of the Industry Trends and Market Research Report which was launched at this year’s EIBTM in Geneva.
