Health, Safety and Environment Office will arrange the following safety course in June 2011:
 

Laboratory Safety Reinforcement Training for Research Personnel

23 June 2011 (Thu)

Topics: 
  1. Laboratory safety management; chemical and biological safety (Mr Danny Fok)
  2. Laser and ionizing radiation safety                     (Mr Chris Leung)
  3. Fire and other hazards in the laboratory                (Mr Ivan Chan)
Course objectives:
This course is the second tier training on laboratory safety for research personnel who has completed the on-line training and registered as laboratory users via the “Web-based Self-learning and Registration System on Laboratory Safety”. Since participants already have basic concepts of laboratory safety, this course aims at providing information on specific areas of laboratory safety with more examples and accident cases for their learning. They are also encouraged to raise questions on health and safety conditions of their respective laboratories for discussion.     

Target group(s):
Research personnel who have registered as laboratory users via the “Web-based Self-learning and Registration System on Laboratory Safety” on HSEO’s homepage should attend this course within a period of three months after registration.
