  1. Medical and Dental Services

    Holders of Long Serving Retiree's Card and Long Serving Retiree's Spouse Card are entitled to receive medical and dental services in the on-campus clinics (i.e. University Health Service (UHS) Clinic, Physiotherapy Clinic, Optometry Clinic, etc.) and the clinics of the University's appointed dentist. Services shall include the following:

    Medical care with simple medications (3 days maximum per visit) and subject to 1 visit/person/day for up to 50 visits/person/year;

    Long-term medication to be dispensed at the UHS dispensary, if required, physiotherapy, occupational therapy, diagnostic optometry on referral by UHS doctors, basic in-house laboratory investigations and investigations prescribed through UHS, medical check-up, pap smear (for female), and routine immunization, etc.; and

    Dental care (optional) provided at the clinics of the University's appointed dentist, currently Bayley & Jackson Dental Surgeons Ltd., at the group premium cost.

    The above medical and dental services are subject to an overall benefit limit of up to HK$1,500/person/year. For those who opt to receive dental service, they will be provided with an identification card issued by the University's appointed dentist.

  2. Library

    Long Serving Retiree's Cardholders are entitled to the use of library facilities. They will enjoy loan quota and loan period for borrowing books from the Library same as that prior to their leaving the University.

  3. Sports and Recreational Facilities

    Long Serving Retiree's Cardholders are entitled to the use of the sports and recreational facilities managed by the Physical Education Section of the Student Affairs Office. There will be no restriction on the facilities open for use by the cardholders during staff eligible hours. Cardholder may bring along his/her spouse and guests by purchasing guest tickets, up to a maximum of three at one time. The charge per guest ticket is currently HK$20 per visit.

  4. Car Parking Facilities

    Long Serving Retiree's Cardholders can enjoy the reduced hourly parking charges during the hours specified below if they can produce the Long Serving Retirees Cards at the Shroff Office upon leaving the car park. The current reduced rate is HK$15 per hour. The normal rate of HK$40 per hour will be imposed if the period of parking is outside the specified hours.

    Period of parking:

    Weekdays 5:30 p.m. – 1:00 a.m.
    Sat – Sun / Public Holidays 8:00 a.m. – 1:00 a.m.

    * Overnight parking is normally not allowed.

    Cardholders should observe the clauses as stipulated in the Campus Traffic and Parking Regulations.

  5. Staff Club

    Long Serving Retiree's Cardholders are allowed to have an option to join the Staff Club by paying an annual subscription fee which other associate members of the Staff Club are paying, i.e. HK$600 per annum and another HK$2,000 refundable deposit to cover any chit signed (currently waived subject to review). Application forms for Associate Membership of the Hong Kong Polytechnic University Staff Club are obtainable from the Staff Club office at M1501, Li Ka Shing Tower.

  6. Email Service

    Long serving retirees are eligible to apply for life-long email service by completing the Email Service Request Form. Pre-approved Form are available at the Human Resource office.  For further details on email services available to retirees, please contact the Information Technology Services Office at 2766 5497 or 2766 7718.

  7. Catering Service

    Long Serving Retiree's Cardholders are entitled to enjoy discount on the food and beverage consumed at the following catering outlets of Hotel ICON up to 30 June 2012, with details as follows:
