Notes to students who live in the PolyU Student Halls

Hall Rules:

Students living in the Student Halls shall abide by Hall Rules and Regulations stipulated on “Hall Handbook” that will be distributed to every resident upon check-in. Violation of Hall Rules and Regulations can lead to termination of residence.

Visitors:

If you have visitors who are not Hong Kong citizens, please remind them to bring with an identity document with a photo inside (e.g. passport) for registration purpose. Otherwise, they may be rejected from entering the Student Halls.

Room facilities & provisions:

Broadband internet facility, window-type air-conditioner, Internet telephone, mini-fridge, bookcase, writing desk, wardrobe, bed with mattress, a common toilet/shower room shared between two adjoining rooms. You can purchase bed linen and pillow in the Hall at a non-profit making price. More details, please visit the hall homepage.

Special note about gym room:

If you wish to use Gym facilities, please bring with the “Proof of Qualified Gym User” (e.g. letter, certificate from university, membership card of a fitness club) showing you have undergone proper training for using Gym facilities. Otherwise, you must attend a Fitness Training Course in the Hall before being granted access into the Gym room, for the sake of safety.

High Table Dinner:

All hall residents are required to attend the High Table Dinner in every semester. Formal dressing in that event is required. You may wish to bring with your lounge suits or night-dress if necessary. Besides, it would be nice if you could also bring a national costume for demonstration at our cultural sharing.
