Live GREEN 2019 (5 - 6 June)

World Environment Day (WED) is celebrated every year on 5 June to raise global awareness on taking positive action in protecting the environment. To echo the WED this year, PolyU will run a series of activities that calls upon the university community to reflect on our duty towards the environment.

Collection Points & Time: 

  1. Communal Student Canteen (3/F, Communal Building) | 5 & 6 Jun: 10:30am - 4:30pm

  2. VA Student Canteen (G/F, Shaw Amenities Building) | 5 Jun: 7:30am - 8:30pm; 6 Jun: 7:30am - 5:00pm 

*For the polyfoam in large quantities or bulky, please contact Campus Sustainability Office in advance.

All collected polyfoam will be sent to Missing Link - Polyfoam Recycling Scheme 迷失的寶藏: 發泡膠回收行動

  • every user is entitled to obtain up to six (6) bonus Coins in total

世界熱帶雨林濫代問題廣為人知,但有否想過香港本地的情況?香港有沒有森林,又或是現時郊野主要的植被是甚麼,其植物的多樣性又如何?馬博士將會以「香港森林與植被」為題,為大家講述香港森林保育的現況與路向。

香港戶外生態教育協會創辦人及教育總監
馬昀祺博士 Dr. Xoni Ma 
香港大學理學士(生態學及生物多樣性、地理)
香港大學哲學博士(環境教育)
 
專研如何利用戶外教學法以推動學校環境教育。馬博士曾參與設計多套學科和環境教育戶外考察教材,亦曾多次帶領教師培訓和學生考察活動,包括到訪肯亞、坦桑尼亞及馬達加斯加。
馬博士現亦為嶺南大學科學教研組講師、國際樹木學會註冊樹藝師以及森林生態、環境教育研究學者,參與多項本地植物、樹木和森林調查以及環教研究工作。
基於其對環境教育的投入,馬博士榮獲「香港大學學院知識交流獎2015」、「Roadshow綠星級環保大使2016 (專業組)」、「北美環境教育學會 EE 30 Under 30 2017」以及「嶺南大學卓越知識轉移獎2019」。
馬博士現亦獲香港特別行政區政府委任為「環境運動委員會教育工作小組」以及「保護稀有動植物諮詢委員會」成員。
