(21 Feb - 1 Mar 2017) Food for Thought

Office of Student Development, Centre STARS stages Food for Thought

Hong Kong has long been facing the challenges of food waste problem. Approximately 3,900 tonnes food waste are created every day, equivalent to the weight of about 250 double-decker buses. This reflects unreasonable food consumption by citizens in Hong Kong regardless of serious global food shortage.

Food for Thought is a student-initiated project to provide PolyU staff and students with opportunities to acknowledge and take part in reducing food waste. Free activities include totebag-making with natural dye, instant photo-taking and more!
