The Erasmus Mundus Mobility Programme is a large-scale global scholarly exchange initiative to enhance the quality of higher education and to promote dialogue and understanding between people and cultures through mobility and academic cooperation.

Spearheaded by the Faculty of Humanities in winning the consecutive successful bid from the European Commission in 2010 and 2011, with collaboration of twelve higher education institutions across Europe and South East Asia, the project "MULTI" is the first and only Erasmus Mundus mobility programme offered to postgraduate students and academic staff members in South East Asia and Hong Kong.
