Message from the Dean
The Faculty of Humanities (FH) serves two groups of students, those studying in the academic programmes of the FH Departments and other PolyU students taking subjects offered by the two Centres (namely, the English Language Centre and the General Education Centre) and the Department of Chinese Culture. All five units in the Faculty work to help our students to enhance their general education, to improve their language competence in both English and Chinese, and to progress and develop in different aspects of life. To supplement the professional and academic training, the Faculty has introduced both formal and informal curricula to develop students' all-round abilities.
We hope our students will not only progress in their academic studies, but will also develop a global outlook, critical and creative thinking, social and national responsibility, cultural appreciation, life-long learning, biliteracy and trilingualism, as well as entrepreneurship and leadership during their studies in the University
